The Impact Partner Initiative is a recognition program within B1G1 that celebrates businesses for their commitment to consistent, meaningful giving.

As an Impact Partner, your business is part of a select group recognized for actively contributing to positive change in the world. This program not only honors your impact, but also provides additional opportunities to elevate your business’s social impact journey.

How it Works

The Impact Partner Initiative has three main tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each tier represents a new level of commitment and benefits that allow your business to gain visibility and recognition as a Business for Good.

Here are the requirements that need to be achieved on an annual basis for each tier:

1. Silver Impact Partner

   • Make at least 6 givings in the year (we recommend monthly or bi-monthly giving)
   • Give more than the giving benchmark amount set for your Membership Tier

   • Maintained your B1G1 Membership for more than a year

     Gold Impact Partner

   • Make at least 6 givings in the year (we recommend monthly or bi-monthly giving)
   • Give more than the giving benchmark amount set for your Membership Tier

   • Maintain your B1G1 Membership for more than two years

     Platinum Impact Partner

   • Make at least 6 givings in the year (we recommend monthly or bi-monthly giving)
   • Give more than the giving benchmark amount set for your Membership Tier
   • Maintain your B1G1 Membership for more than three years

Setting Your Impact Target

By dedicating 1% of net revenue, your business ensures that its giving grows alongside its success, aligning financial outcomes with positive social impact. The gold standard of 1% of net revenue for business giving is a powerful benchmark that balances meaningful impact with sustainable commitment.

This standard also reflects a commitment that is both significant and achievable, allowing businesses to integrate giving into their operations consistently, inspiring trust, and setting an example for responsible corporate citizenship. Ultimately, it represents a proactive, lasting contribution to a better world, without compromising financial health.

Setting an impact target is also one of the easiest ways to track your progress in the Impact Partner Initiative. You can set a target that aligns with your business’s goals and measure your contributions over time.
