Use your credit card or Impact Tokens
Understand what an “impact” means in B1G1

The Handbook also explains that B1G1 projects are carefully selected and reviewed against specific criteria.

🔄 2. Growing Your Impacts

You can create a more consistent giving habit by setting up Recurring Impacts and connecting them with meaningful activities in your business.

For example, you could link an impact to:

A product sale
A completed project
A meeting booked
An invoice paid

You can also track your progress through your Impact History and use the available Widgets to share your impact journey.

Your B1G1 account allows you to see the projects you are supporting and the impact you are creating.

You can also:

View project updates
See your contributions to different projects
Explore more about the Worthy Causes you support
Join B1G1 Roundtables and other learning opportunities

The Handbook also includes guidance on communicating your impacts accurately and respectfully.

B1G1 Gratitude Certificates are a lovely way to celebrate the people who are part of your business and express gratitude through your giving.

You can:

Create a personalised Gratitude Certificate
Add your own picture or an image from a supported project
Print certificates to gift physically
Send certificates digitally
Use social sharing templates to celebrate your impact

🌍 5. Create Your Impact Page

Your Impact Page gives you a way to share your business’s purpose and the impacts you are creating through B1G1.

You can also use B1G1 Widgets to display your live impact progress on your website.

When sharing your impact, we recommend communicating with gratitude, using impact units accurately, and respecting the privacy and dignity of the people and communities your giving supports.

👥 6. Engage Your Team

You can invite team members to your B1G1 account and give them opportunities to participate in your company’s giving.

Depending on your membership package, team members can be given their own accounts and Impact Tokens, allowing them to create impacts as part of your company’s giving journey.

🤝 7. Connect with the B1G1 Community

B1G1 is more than a platform for creating impacts — it’s also a community.

The Handbook introduces opportunities to:

🏢 9. Understanding How B1G1 Works

The Handbook also explains how B1G1 is structured and how contributions and project selection are managed.

B1G1 operates through two separate organisations, with the Membership Program focused on creating membership value and sustainability, while B1G1 Giving manages contribution management, project assessment and the integrity of the Worthy Cause selection process.

🔎 10. How B1G1 Projects Are Selected

B1G1 projects go through a selection and assessment process.

Broadly, organisations need to demonstrate:

At least three years of track record and clear financials
Projects that can be scaled
Transparent and cost-effective operations

Projects are also reviewed biennially. If you know of a great organisation in a region where B1G1 is looking to expand its reach, you can recommend them for consideration.
