How projects are selected and verified
At B1G1, every project listed on the platform — whether it’s a Global Project or an individual one — is delivered by a carefully vetted charity partner. These partners go through a thorough selection process before they can become a fully approved B1G1 Worthy Cause Partner . This ensures that your giving always makes a measurable, tangible and effective difference.
The evaluation process focuses on several key areas:
- Transparency: Each partner must show clear reporting and accountability.
- Measurability: Projects must define specific, tangible outcomes per contribution (e.g., one tree planted, one meal given).
- Community impact: We look for local involvement, cultural understanding, and long-term sustainability.
- Alignment with global goals: All projects support one or more of the Global Goals (SDGs) and give categories such as Education, Environment, Health, Shelter, Food, Income Generation, Human Rights.
- Sustainability: While all types of charitable activities are noble and admirable, B1G1 does not fund activities that can become overly dependent on the funding from B1G1. B1G1 is not suitable for projects that are too small (e.g. small orphanages) or activities that are very new or aim to promote specific religions.
This selection process ensures that every act of giving through B1G1 directly contributes to verified, measurable impact. If you’d like to, you can find more information on b1g1.org.
And since B1G1 promotes unique ways for people and businesses to contribute towards global issues, the focus of the platform is not on specific charities. The projects are all listed with specific impacts in mind.
The same principles apply to B1G1’s Global Projects — a unique collection of 11 grouped initiatives representing the most effective and balanced ways to give globally. These projects were created to simplify giving while maintaining diversity of impact, covering areas like education, health, environment, and food security.
